Medical and dental ministries allow Ameritribes staff to meet the very real needs of the Tarahumara people while at the same time providing a genuine setting for relationship building.

Dental clinics are offered on a periodic basis utilizing visiting dentists.

Wellness Center

dental workConstruction of a Wellness Center is now complete. This primary healthcare facility provides Tarahumara mothers with instruction in nutrition, hygiene, and the general care of infants and young children. It functions in the rehydration and feeding of severely dehydrated and malnourished children.

Generous giving in response to Ameritribes’ 2002 Christmas project provided the funds to make this strategic Wellness Center a reality.
