Personnel Director |
| Accountability: |
Reports to the Executive Director and the Executive Council. |
| Ministry Responsibility: |
Provide leadership and oversight for the recruitment, selection, placement, nurture and ongoing development of Ameritribes missionaries. Serve as a member of the Executive Council (the administrative leadership team for Ameritribes. |
| Ministry Overview: |
Develop and provide leadership for the Personnel Team in the following areas:
Recruiting—
- Coordinate recruitment efforts; represent mission at church or college conferences as time allows.
- Candidate processing—Oversee selection, orientation, pre-field training, placement, and Ministry Partner Development.
Appointees (including pre-field training and orientation)—
- Work with Field Directors and Team Leaders to help integrate appointees into team and evaluate their progress.
Member care—
- MK (Missionary Kids) care
- Counseling
- Conflict Resolution/Peacemaking
- Continuing education
- Benefits program
- Staff Conference
- Supervise Annual Review process
- Supervise and conduct debriefing interviews for missionaries returning from field for Ministry Partner Development or other reasons.
- Work with Field Directors, Team Leaders, missionary, and sending church to ensure that missionary doing Ministry Partner Development makes wise use of time and receives any necessary assistance or ongoing training.
Associates—
- Oversee development and management of Associates program.
Short-Term Programs—
- Develop and coordinate volunteer/short term programs/internship programs and exposure visits to the fields.

| Skills and Experience: |
Training in management
Counseling experience
Background in Bible/missions
Cross-cultural ministry experience
Known for a godly life; inspires others to the same
Able to articulate and inspire vision
Servant leader who extends positive encouragement
Competent in problem solving, strategic planning, and decision-making
Able to wisely manage financial and human resources
Leadership experience with an orientation towards a team approach
Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral (interviewing) communication skills
